Performance Coaching
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was developed in the 1970s by John Grinder and Richard Bandler and there has been a rapid growth in the adoption of this approach since. Originating from the world of psychotherapy, NLP theories, strategies and techniques are now also frequently applied in the fields of coaching, personal development, sales, and management.
NLP brings together the three areas of the mind to achieve our goals - our use of language, and our behaviour. "Neuro" relates to neurology, the study of the mind and how we think, "Linguistics" covers our use of language and how it affects us and "Programming" addresses how we sequence our actions to achieve the desired outcomes.
The benefits of NLP in promoting positive thinking, effective communication, and encouragement to use one's internal resources to "change one's state" to achieve well-formed outcomes are life changing.
As well as being highly effective for Sports and Work Performance, NLP techniques are also adopted for many other issues including:
Breaking free from negative thoughts
Confidence
Self Esteem
Motivation
Smoking
Phobias
Insomnia
Exam Nerves
Pain Relief
